Know the persecutor

Gun control leaves no stone unturned when it comes to disparaging remarks about licenced firearm owners, revelling in hate speech and emotional factoids to strengthen its lies. Firearm owners are provably one of the most law-abiding groups of citizens when it comes to violent crime, yet the promoters of crime by victim disarmament continuously attempt to discredit that proud record.

The propaganda war has started in earnest. Remember that it is a propaganda war and not a debate where logic and common sense prevail. It is a war of emotional statements and linking to graphic detail. It is a war of misinformation and convoluted statistics designed to win the hearts and minds of people.

Gun control is not interested in saving lives, women or children. It has only one objective, get rid of all legal firearms, and will do and say anything to achieve that objective. If saving lives was a concern then gun control would have noted that there is not one, not a single success, of the many thousands of laws passed to control guns that has either reduced crime or the supply of guns to criminals. Gun control would be concerned by the additional loss of life it is directly responsible for. It cares not how many must die, how much misery and hardship it causes, it cares only about removing the hated guns.

Some phrases, think of your own as well.

• Our growth industry, crime is about to receive government backing
• The hysterical screams of save the criminals organisations
• Idiots promoting crime, using the facade of saving lives
• Fringe lunatic gun control organisations
• The criminals friends, promoting crime
• Emotion mongering disciples of Hitler
• Dance to gun controls tune and die
• Criminals choice, unarmed victims
• Animators of metal, masters of lies
• Criminals prefer unarmed victims
• Promoters of hate speech
• Crime free not gun free
• Grief For South Africa
• The criminals friends
• Merchants of death
• Hi-jackers of truth

Counter lies and the source or suppliers of twisted half truths (factoids). Lobby organisations such as gun control should be seen for what they are, a source of junk emotional factoids designed to stir up feelings in people rather than presenting the truth.

One letter will not do it, many many letters over time will. Join up with other like minded people who are sick and tired of the crime situation and are willing to do something about it.

Given a lever with sufficient length may be one way to move the earth. Enough people pulling on the lever will have the same result.

Or if you are happy and content with the level of crime in South Africa then you need say and do nothing. Be sure not to complain when it happens to you, your family and close friends.

Remember you have the choice, the chance and the opportunity and nobody is going to do it for you.

It's your choice and the result a reflection of what you did, nobody else is or will be to blame.
