All attempt to justify their claims with research and surveys. Some of the worlds most radical exponents of pseudo-science operate under the umbrella of such organisations.

There are many non-government organisations based on empowerment or rights, biased with an ideological view of the causes of their frustration. Often such organisations form a coalition of support for legislation. All have a narrow focus and self interest driven by passion which makes them the least ideal to be the sole promoters of legislation.
